High Point Ballet returns to the High Point Theatre this year with their dazzling production of Tchaikovsky's festive fantasy, playing December 15 - 17. Brimming with magic, marvels, and more, this is one holiday outing the whole family will adore as they watch the timeless story unfold. With Choreography from Artistic Director Gary Taylor.

What is the story?

One of the world's favorite holiday experiences, The Nutcracker is based on ETA Hoffman's enchanting novella of the same name. Telling the tale of Clara and the mysterious Nutcracker doll she receives from her godfather on Christmas Eve, The Nutcracker opens up a world of winter wonder as Clara and her doll are whisked into a fantasy realm where nothing is as it seems.
